Dorman GMC has always done a good job with my truck. My appointment was at 1:00pm and it took until almost 3:30pm to get finished. Just a tire rotation and oil change. Lots of people with vehicles needing servicing and not that many technicians/mechanics. They did a good job.

Went to the dealership (where I purchased the truck) to have two items checked/repaired. Left the dealer with the same problems. Dorman appears to be a very primitive operation. I will never return to that dealership.

It was time for my 100,000 mile servicing on my 2020 Terrain and I was unaware that it would take most of the day. When I informed the service manager that I had 2 appointments in Raleigh that afternoon, I was immediately provided with a loaner to drive. It was a 2022 Terrain, which made it very comfortable and less stressful. I appreciate the wonderful treatment I received at Dorman GMC.

This is the second time I have brought this truck in for transmission issues. It will not move when first started in forward or reverse. When cold it would slip when it shifted into second gear. Now that the air temp has warm this is not as often. The Dealership says they can’t find anything wrong. My wife rode with Joe and pointed out when she felt the shutter it possessed. He claimed it could be a number of things including a rough road!!! I have had a local GM Mechanic tell me that it’s either the Valve Body or a regular problem with the torque converter. I sent Joe Dorman a copy of a memo posted regarding this issue. I purchased a warranty for over 3000.00 just because I knew these 8 speed transmissions have issues but in hopes since I had known this truck since new that I would not be effected. I am very disappointed that I can’t get anything done. I consider Joe Dorman a friend and as hard as it is on me I am not going to let this affect that. I just can’t buy another vehicle from a dealer that I don’t feel looks after me after the sale. Time will tell what I ultimately do with this issue

I purchase my 2018 Yukon in August 2022. My salesman has passed since I purchased. I purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty as well as gap insurance you cover if something was to happen that it be paid. I have always taken my vehicle back for oil changes and if any problems comes up. I took my vehicle in for oil change last Oct 2024 but received a call back from service department that my struts are bad and needed to be replaced asap and they are surprised that I hadnt had an accident by now; and was told a price but I let them know that I paid for extended warranty. So the lady told me that she would have the service manager to give me a call back concerning the warranty and price. Raynor called and let me know what I would be looking at and that he confirmed that I purchased the extended warranty. He told me that all my struts needed to be replace and that's what I thought was done. And it took a little longer because of not having help but a loaner was given to me to drive until repairs was finished. I picked up when finish was very pleased with what I had to pay concerning all that he told me was done...trusting what he said I didn't go back to look at the item statement. Now it's time to take my vehicle back for a oil change to find out that only 2 struts was put in, the warranty wouldn't pay for the two back because they wasn't reading failure but Raynor never told me but the job was complete and the warranty took care of all but $550 I had to pay out of pocket I was so happy I hugged the lady because it was a blessing. But to get the same call from the same woman back in Oct now April telling what I needed again for her to tell me they only install two because my warranty ended in Dec 2024, nope I didn't know that was was not explained that by the gentleman that was sold me the warranty amount the milage amount that it would cover when I purchased the vehicle it had about 53000 miles that why I felt it would be best because I would not be able to make payments and pay out of pocket for repairs. But when I was told that all 4 struts was ordered but only 2 installed and 2 wasn't, yes I feel that Raynor and the warranty knew that work still had to be done and didn't want to pay for it all. I am very sad and mad that yes I do feel ripped off by this dealership that I trusted with my purchase of my vehicle and taking my vehicle back for routine visits. So now I am looking at about $1800 out of my pocket that I don't have and have to continue driving the vehicle my only vehicle until I can afford to pay for. My hands are tied both ways and yes I am asking God for directions for how to proceed further.
